We are all creatures of habit, it’s our nature. We go through life absorbing external stimulus and over time these stimuli become part of our habit patterns and eventually part of our belief system.
These habits are acquired from training, influences, observance, practice etc, and we acquire a lot of habits throughout our life, some of which are positive and supportive and some which will ace your future if they become a part of your belief system, a part of you really are on the inside.
Stands to reason that we need to hang on to the good habits and ditch the rest, right? Eliminating bad habits however isn’t always that simple, especially if the habit is deep routed and has been present for a long time, but it most definitely can be done.
Individuals wander through life making excuses (unfortunately, I see it all the time). Anytime things get a little complicated, they’ll frequently make excuses for why they can’t deal with the issue. This is a common problem in today’s world, which we’ve all heard these excuses more times than we care to remember. But you know what?… If you want to fix what stopping you in life then you have to make a pact with yourself, to do whatever it takes to make the necessary changes to get your desired results to show up. If you’re out to better your life, you need to make this commitment to getting it done, nothing less than that will get the job done.
The first key to success in all areas of your life and your business is to quit making excuses. You are at source, which means that you are responsible for everything you are currently experiencing. So if you don’t like it how it is, quite blaming and change it…
DO IT RIGHT NOW!
And, let me make another suggestion… Why don’t you make a commitment to stop judging other people and yourself? This is a common error that most peoples make. They spend time attaching labels to other people and themselves, and everywhere they look they are making comparisons. Let me tell you, this does nothing but screw with your head, so stop doing it now.
Stop that negative talk… I can’t alter this. My life sticks; I can’t do this any longer. Why me? Why is it raining on my parade?
Here’s the thing, it rains on the rich and it rains on the successful, so get over it, stop feeling sorry for yourself, stop trying to excuse your lack of action and get on with making the changes that will get you to the place you do want to be at!
Just start taking little steps to success and let the positive momentum build up. Too many people try to change the habits of a lifetime overnight, and this only leads to frustration.
As the old saying goes… “Slowly, slowly, catchy monkey!”
When you’re working to alter your life and habits make certain you seek support and feedback.
