Most of us at one time or another have asked ourselves “who am I?”
Yet so few of us ever really come up with an answer to that particular conundrum and end up identifying ourselves through the person we become in response to the demands placed upon us by the world we live in, and the expectations of the people around us.
We also tend (in many cases to attach our identity to what we do, or what we own, what car we drive, or the amount of money we may or may not have in the bank. This is superfluous nonsense and has nothing to do with the essence of who we really are and our true purpose for being here on this beautiful blue planet of ours.
Thing is if all of that ‘external stuff’ is who you think you are, what if you wake up tomorrow and it’s gone? Who are you now?
Point is, that all of that external nonsense is fragile, temporary and is most definitely not representative of the REAL YOU that came from spirit into this physical world, with a knowledge of your truth, passion for the physical experience you were to embark on, and complete clarity of the role you would play out in your physical life.
So what happened to that knowing, that clarity of purpose and that joyful anticipation of what was to come?
Has it vanished completely, or are you currently tuned in to a different cosmic radio station?
Ok, let’s bring this back down to ground zero for a moment…
What I’m actually trying to say here is that you have lost touch with yourself, plain and simple.
It’s my guess that the wants, needs, and agendas of others play the leading role as your day plays out to their tune right?
What happened to your tune?
Can you even remember how it goes?
Re-discovering yourself takes some serious thinking but more than that, it takes the ability to re-connect with everything that used to get you excited and give your life meaning.
You literally need to get back to having the zest and enthusiasm of a young child as you prepare to go into each and every day.
Play full out, align yourself with your truth and step into your greatness.
It hasn’t gone anywhere, it’s been there along, lying dormant, waiting for you to give it a gentle nudge to get back into action.
So I go back to the question I asked earlier…
What is your tune?
As my late, great mentor Dr. Wayne Dyer once said…
“Don’t die with your music still in you”
Self-discovery is a means to know yourself and hear the voice of your soul.
Your soul always guides you down the right path for you, and at the perfect time, every time.
All you have to do is start listening.
To end up, self-discovery is essential for any human being at any stage of life. The more a human being discovers himself or herself, the more he or she is on the road to peak performance and massive success.
When you rediscover the real YOU, you will wake up every morning to a beautiful new world, where every day is a joy and a blessing, because you are living you’re life full out, with passion, purpose and according to your own agenda.
So now you know this… GO DO IT!
