Find Your Unique Voice in Coaching
Hey it’s Robert here from robertcbrown.online and I hope you’re having a terrific day wherever you are in the world today.
I wanted to make a quick video for you today, to talk really about the importance of having a unique voice as a coach… Find your unique voice, because as you’ve probably noticed, every which way you turn, there are coaches.
Now they all have different disciples and maybe different niche markets, etc, etc…
… But suffice to say, there is an awful lot of competition..
- There are lots of fitness coaches
- There are lots of business coaches
- There are lots of life coaches
- There are lots of relationship coaches…
… I could go on and on!
But you know what?… There is only one YOU!
So what you need to do is really focus on communicating to your audience what makes you special, what makes you unique, what they will only get from you and no one else, should they choose to work with you.
See, that’s very important.
It’s so easy today to get caught up in following people because of the message that they are putting out there. There are some terrific marketers out there, and if you spend enough time listening to these people, you’ll end up thinking that what they’re saying, is what you believe and what is right for you, even if it may not be the case and somewhere on an inner level, you know that id the case.
So what you’ve got to do is pull yourself away from all of these marketing messages going on.
If you’re going to follow anybody, follow just one person. Find one person who truly resonates with you and follow him or follow her, and that’s it.
Don’t over-complicate it, because if you listen to too many other people, you will lose you own identity.
You will lose your own uniqueness in the marketplace, and you will no longer have your own voice, and that is the most important thing that you have to offer…
… It’s your uniqueness, because if somebody resonates with you, if somebody loves the way that you coach, loves your message, all of that stuff…
… Then they can only get that experience from working with you, because you will be totally unique if you follow your heart, and develop your own voice in the marketplace.
So that’s it… I’m not going to bang on for long today 🙂
I just wanted to make that point because it’s a very noisy world these days, and it’s so easy to get bombarded with everybody’s marketing messages, and in the end all you do is watch marketing videos, listen to podcasts and read books…
… And in the end, you become the sum total of everything that you’ve been consuming from everybody else.
A little is fantastic, too much, will stop you developing your own message, and your own personality in the marketplace…
… Your own voice.
So please, learn to trust yourself first, and use all of the other messages as something to support what you are trying to do, rather than overwhelming yourself with all of that stuff and forgetting in the process perhaps, who you really are.
Because if you lose sight of who you are, how the heck are you going to communicate an effective message to a prospect, in order that they become a client?
